Keep movie theaters alive!

If there's one thing I don't mind doing alone, it's going to the movies. That sounds sad as hell but it's true because I don't like waiting for the Friday when a movie supposed to drop especially in the times we in now where you scroll through twitter (yes, I still call it twitter) and people straight up posting the whole movie spoiling everything. So if my girl or friends can't pull up with me that Thursday (they be showing the movies a day before the scheduled release date which I still don't get) I'm going to be there dolo to be one of the first.

Going to the movies has always been one of my favorite things to do since a child to a teenager mobbing with my friends to Whitestone Cinemas (RIP!!) because like Nicole Kidman be saying right before they play the movie in AMC, it's truly magic. Phone is off, popcorn or sour gummies in hand with a slushie or a soda, and I'm in there in another world. I say all of this because In the past week I saw Odyssey and Spider-Man Brand New Day. Maybe I'll get a Letterboxd account but for now I'm going to chop it up here since it's been a while (might have to push the music countdown back a bit, trying to get everything right!).

For one, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland, and Jon Bernthal stay busy. These people in every movie it seem, like damn. Two, Odyssey is one of them ones though. I never read the book but I'm going to now for sure. Christopher Nolan don't miss to the point I wasn't even mad Travis Scott in this movie for no reason. Casting was great, the cinematography, the messages in this story were powerful and was truly a rollercoaster. That one scene where they went to that lady cabin was FOUL. Anyway, go see that movie in IMAX.

Spider-Man Brand New Day in my opinion is the live action Spider-Man movie I've been missing for the longest time. Spider-Man my favorite superhero because of what he represents along with his funny quips mid battle that was spot on in this one. This was definitely Tom Holland best performance as Spider-Man. From the action and fight choreography, the little details of him web slinging through NYC, the internal battles he faces throughout the movie and how he still goes out there to fight for the people he loves and the city he loves. I feel like they hit the mark on everything. I think I enjoyed this one more than No Way Home even though No Way Home had that nostalgia factor that was impactful but still. I don't know if this is better than Spiderman 2 just yet but I would definitely go see it again cause I'm a nerd. Can't wait for the Avengers movies.

Side note: I almost forgot. They gotta stop mixing in regular ass Ads in with the movie previews. No way I should be seeing an All State commercial and NBA 2k commercial at the movie theater. Nasty work.
